University of New South Wales – 2.2km or 1.4 miles to the library which is in the center of campus. About a 10 min walk.
2. Coogee Beach – 1.8km or 1.1 miles to the center of the beach. About a 10min walk.
3. Bondi Beach – One of the most popular beaches in Sydney. It even has a “Bay Watch” type reality show called Bondi Rescue. 4.9km or 3miles, it takes about 20min from my house by bus to get there or about 10min by bus from Coogee Beach. There is a beautiful walk along the coast from Coogee to Bondi that will take about 45min one way.
4. Downtown Sydney – 5.9km or 3.7 miles to Hyde Park, near the center of downtown. About a 20min bus ride from my house. From Hyde Park you can head downtown for shopping or fine restaurants (5min walk), to Chinatown for late night eats or cheap souvenirs (10min walk) or through the Botanical Gardens around the harbor and to (5.) the Sydney Opera House and the beautiful Harbour (that’s how they spell it out here).
